Unless you work in AP at a large retail establishment, this is mostly speculation on your part, at least as far as it concerns individual shoppers being targeted vs. large swaths of merchandise being monitored and policed more closely. I know that they have the data and the capability--that's obvious--but I'm not sure individual shoppers are being flagged in this way. I'm open to being convinced. Surely someone here has the background, direct or indirect, to know this. Like, what the hell even pops up on the guest services monitor when this happens?
