Umm anon.. toys should be the least of your worries. You do realize the tariffs are going to affect not only all your hobbies but stuff you need to survive and depend on?
I'm not trying to patronize you either, but I mean no nation can live without trade, especially in today's age if you want to keep the current lifestyle. Even products made in America would be sourcing stuff from elsewhere. That means everything is going to get a lot more expensive, this means people are going to be buying less so companies will have to do massive lay offs.

Let's even think of the best case scenario, they bring all production back to the U.S., this will take many years if it happens quickly. Not to mention that would need workers and there aren't going to be enough, prices would still be high due to the higher minimum wage of the US. And we'd need new immigrants to actually do those jobs since there would be too many new jobs, and most of those would be ones Americans would either not want to do or be qualified to do.
I mean what's his other best case scenario? That countries remove tariffs? If they do that, which would actually not be bad for the economy. That actually contradicts the talking point since it would mean more stuff is outsourced to other countries now that there are no tariffs. The third world isn't going to be buying American products to make up for it, they're too poor. Europeans would but after all this mess that's already happened make up for the difference this mess has already made.
