meh, I'll bite, I'm bored atm.
I think the whole situation is retarded, but at the end of the day, the market will decide. And it kinda looks like Hulk is NOT selling out.
It's HILARIOUS how you have $25 Husk with her massive BAF piece next to $50 Maximum Spidey. The mental gymnastics people are going through to justify to themselves and others have been funny to read. I wonder what these ultra-fanboys will say to justify the next "premium" Spidey that Hasbro dangles in their face.

Remember "Shartimus" telling Hasbro in that SDCC clip he'd rather see fewer releases per year that were well done rather than rushed? Dan or whomever was very upset to be involved and scolded him about how they'd agreed not to touch that subject. They WANT to pump out as much shit per year that they can. Their basic releases aren't going away, and even a figure like Husk couldn't sell as well at a higher price point.

Marvel LEGENDS has become Marvel Has-Beens and Marvel Flash-In-The-Pans. There aren't many "legendary" characters they can get away with charging premium prices for for very long, they've been scraping the barrel on a lot of this stuff. Shit, why do you think they didn't fix the yellow boots on the XFactor Jean Grey (its to sell her again in a box set to complete the group later!)

HULK isn't selling out. If Hulk isn't selling out, yeah, good luck continuing this model. Maybe you can squeak out another figure or two, but damn, HULK of all characters is struggling.

COULD we have gotten a $40 Hulk without the missile and a few other parts? Sure! But they didn't WANT to.
