The second you start trying to finish team rosters or scenes from movies, you are probably doomed to go down the completionist rabbit hole.

I'd say buy a toyline that you like that isn't based on a media franchise, like Snail Shell girls, Vitruvian Hacks or Mythic Legions. There is still a chance that you get sucked into some form of completionism, but you will find it easier to skip stuff. I wanted to get all 4 of the Loose Collector Werewolves, but the gray one is now sold out on BBTS and I barely feel that FOMO urge. I've also skipped a couple of Snail Shell girls that didn't grab me, and I'm not feeling the urge to hunt them down.
Whereas, I saw a heap of people posting Revoltech Mirko and saw her close to selling out on HLJ, and the FOMO fully kicked in and I fucken NEEDED her. I'm not even a huge MHA fan, but she was one of the more memorable characters of the last two seasons and I liked her.
