You sound like some airbnb crook describing their run-down hovel with euphemism to scam idiots who *like* being scammed. You could just come out and say you like shitholes, and stay exclusively in shitholes because you're poor and can't recognize a good hotel when you see one.

Personally, I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in Cabo when I was in Mexico last month and was very happy with what I got (as Hilton Diamond elite)
