Guess it's more a European thing, but Mediterranean with a longish beard. Not going to be running about in robes of course, but I've been told I look like a stereotypical Muslim. My wife's not Muslim so she just looks like your usual white woman.

I keep my opinions to myself. Not that we're actively be going to chatting with people, but do Americans respect the "I don't care, leave me alone" attitude, or do you have to pick a side? I've only really travelled to the US for work and that's usually talking to DoD people and I know they just love to chat and talk about everything.

Paris is our local and we usually spend 5-6 days there, so 2 weeks might not even be enough considering we want to do Universal as well. This is a once in a life time trip so we want to check out the OG Disney as well as LA is jut too far.

Haven't finalised the budget yet, but we're going to be spending quite a bit of money on the trip so don't mind a more expensive hotel. My wife has an aversion to bed bugs, so we'd rather spend extra to be somewhere clean than a motel. I snore very loudly so an RV wouldn't be ideal.

Yeh dealt with American police before, don't move unless told to and answer directly and politely. We have no interest in being anywhere near cities unless we're travelling to or from an airport.

That's just the route we're planning rather than hogging the border. Won't be going to any cities as we're more interested in the countryside, ranches and the such. We'll get all the appropriate insurances and I always ensure we've got things like ration bars and water when doing long trip.
