I mostly read novels, probably about 60% trash/popular fiction (crime fiction, thrillers, stuff that gets left behind on hotel/cafe bookshelves), and 40% LITrachur. I especially like trash set in or from places I am going. I seldom buy paper travel guides anymore, although I have gotten a lot of miles out of Lonely Planet and Rick Steves in the past… if I’ve got a guide I will probably read it on the inbound plane. I sometimes like to read old travelogues about places I am going, as well as histories. And I have studied language textbooks and phrasebooks a few times.

Paperback for weight and size purposes. I also always have a few dozen e-books I can read on my phone, but real physical books are by far my preference.
