depends, what do you want to see?

>South Africa
is an easy choice for obvious reasons
but it's also very touristic and westernized

Namibia and Botswana are close second
Zimbabwe, Angola also great, but wouldn't recommend for the first Africa trip

>Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt
are also easy to navigate
North Africa is a lot different from the rest of Africa though

>East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda)
would be the next best choice
there's even currently a thread on /trv/ about living in Nairobi
the rural areas are quintessential sub sahara Africa and fairly safe
English is widely spoken and if you can ride a motorcycle you have a very easy way to get around the country (if you can handle riding for 5h on VERY bumpy roads)

>Western Africa
mega cities like Lagos are pure chaos
it's fun... for a few days
Ghana or Senegal would be good choices there as well
but you NEED to speak french, no one will understand English and don't even try translators, you'll get ignored

>Central Africa
few niche choices here
Gabun and Congo are really cool, but also expensive as tourist
DRC is quite underrated but needs lots of planning, I did 5 weeks in the lowland forest, awesome, but also not a first trip
