Each unit has a pretty different mission set.

>Green Berets
dudes who get behind enemy lines to train friendly indigenous forces and cause chaos inside a denied area. They're trained to be the jack of all trades dudes who are able to raise a small army of friendly forces in enemy territory and then lead them into combat.
>Rangers
Essentially just the NFL of light infantry, they're considered special operations forces and not operators which is kind of its own thing. Entire gig is just what regular light infantry does, just for missions that are more dangerous/require a better trained and funded unit than your regular light infantry guys like 101st, 82nd, etc. Typically their whole job is raids on compounds or airfields where you need the numbers of an infantry battalion but the skill and equipment of special forces dudes.
>Delta
Elite death squad who's sole purpose is to get into some high value target's home/compound and kill the shit out of anyone inside and then GTFO without anyone else noticing, sometimes hostage rescue in very dangerous or sensitive situations
>SEALS
Really just light infantry guys who specialize in underwater demolitions and sabotage. SEAL team 6 is the navy's version of Delta, and there's been a very large overlap between the two units during the global war on terror
>Air force SF
mostly specialists who embed with any of the above teams to help extend the reach and lethality by being able to act as forward observers, medical pararescue, etc
