that's a copout. there are competitive fps that are far more complex than tf2 that have good balance. valve is simply incompetent and is too stubborn to admit it. they got butthurt after jungle inferno was poorly received instead of realizing maybe the hot hand and gas passer weren't great weapon designs or that putting turbine into a competitive map pool isn't conducive to a fun match. remember this is the company that nerfed the bison.

it can be done. pyro is almost there but he's still gimped by his effective range and doesn't have enough tools to make up for it.

The other formats suck cock.
The only mode that arguably doesn't work in 6s is PL because no one wants to push cart but that can be fixed with a tap to push/stop mechanic.

It doesn't count if it was in 2008 or it was on a terrible map or if it was just a one time playtest and nobody bothered to follow up. The competitive community does not want to change and this can be most clearly seen with how few competitively played AD and KOTH maps there are despite there being nothing inherently wrong with either gamemode in a 6s format. We HAVE vscript there is absolutely no excuse why these issues can't be addressed.

Casual players are at fault for using comp as a scapegoat for valve's poor decision making and comp players have responded by cutting themselves off from the casual playerbase entirely and understandably refusing to change.
