Yes, ranked matchmaking is actually still somewhat active too. You usually get matches within a minute of searching, though it'll depend on your region and rank.

To dump some resources, discord.gg/pokken is the main community hub, there's also some character and region specific servers, it also runs a weekly online tournament. Coronation Productions, Jukem, 21Hits, and Badintent also all have a lot of Youtube videos on the game with guides, and some other notable players like Shadowcat, DualDeathLucario, and ToonS also occasionally posts stuff for specific characters. There's also this twitter community: https://x.com/i/communities/1890378299446005876 which is relatively new, and character tech hashtags use this format: #PTDX_WVL , where here WVL is for weavile.

It's decent, actually.

It's obviously not rollback or anything but i'd say only 1 in 5 matches online I get have clearly perceptible latency, and even then it is usually not too bad. And that's with randoms, when doing actual sets with people in the scene when you both have LAN adapters, it's pretty solid, though there are some very demanding specific setups or combos that are difficult to pull off online even with a good connection

Mind you, Pokken does also have a relatively high amount of built in input delay vs some other fighting games, iirc it's like 8f.
