So you have the first big meta puzzle with paintings in the mansion which gives you

which seems like a clue for another meta puzzle and you're let's fucking do this, let's open the fucking gates and use whatever I find there to get 8 dates to open 8 safes.
So you find all those articles, letters, notes which speak about days in a week or have exact date written.
So you keep wondering about how you should approach entering the date as a code. Is it DDMMYY? DDMMYYYY? MMDDYYYY? Or other retarded combination?
And then you open one of the safes by entering 25th of december, "2512" or "1225" depending on your local date format. Because this fantasy planet is celebrating xmas for some reason. But not xmas eve so you're fucked if you don't know other cultures.
Another safe? There is a chessboard in the room with a chess piece on D8. D8...maybe it's DATE?! Probably one of the 420 different dates you found so far? Haha no, it's D8 = December 8, 128. Or 1208. Or 0812 because again the formatting is inconsistent.
And then you find a room with a calendar showing November and a picture of 8 gates. The solution is to literally count the gates on the picture (8) and add November to the mix, resulting in 811 or 0811 or 1108.
And the drawing room one is the worst. You have to get 50 coins (or maybe 25 if you got a discount) to buy a book, draw a library, order the book, draw the library the next day to read the book and the book tells you that the words don't matter, but the sounds matter the most. And that GATES = GAITS, as in steps. And the clue was "count small gates". So you enter the drawing room and count pictures showing small steps of a woman, and other pictures of man taking small steps. And then you enter it as womanSteps&&manSteps, because women go first.
