The point is that gods represent the insurmountable whether capitalism, fascism, marxism, communism or any kind of system that is so complex as to rule the lives of those who live under it even though it is an unfeeling, unthinking idea.
You're trying to make it as if the point of this video is that it considers the idea of "god" as a political one only. It's simply about fighting the ineffable.
Most games don't delve into spirituality in any capacity because such a thing is deeply personal, attempting to convey it through a video game would be a deeply stupid thing to do.
