No that was with op gach exclusive items like pacs and white scrolls, chaos scrolls and itcg shit like facestompers. Pot indeed did irreversible damage to the game though but it was already mostly buggered before pot. Then later we'd get nebs and I was out by then. Though it's funny how potential basically destroyed the value of most of the well scrolled old low level gear since they couldn't get t3 stats, and you also had to risk booming godly pre-scrolled gear. The whole upgrade system and gearing in maple was pure cancer and I hope they change that.

The early post big bang patches were pretty fucking good for the game and casual players though. A lot of bad classes got very much needed buffs, and they killed the boring FMA/leech meta in one go. I'm pretty sure every explorer class main was extremely happy with almost all of the buffs they got up to the red patch.

A lot of people got to experience 4th job on their fav class for the very first time because it was finally achievable in a realistic manner which was almost unthinkable before bb.
