Big Godzilla fan and i'm gonna break down to you why they most likely chose Singular point and why I'm also torn on that idea

Godzilla might be playable near the ass end of the game (My personal hunch is he'll be briefly controlled by the Dynazenon crew's instant domination or he'll willingly be allied to fight Getter Emperor)
>They most likely chose Singular Point since it's purely animated and that means they don't have to try to license and pay for actor likenesses from the original movies. SRW is really bad about actor likeness and toho is as well. Most promotional material any mainstay Godzilla characters appeared in like Akane or Miki they've obscured their faces with helmets to get around having to pay for actor likenesses. Toho did this in that shitty Dave the Diver DLC with Akane's face.

>Trying to license Godzilla already is a huge budget sink, the less things they license the better. Having to fight for actor likeness will make that cash sink for a huge IP like Godzilla even bigger.
>SRW XOmega did the same shit with a few characters by Obstructing Akane's face and the promo characters were Millenium Godzilla, Akane's Kiryu, and two Evangellion recolored Kiryus driven by Shinji and Asuka (I might be mis-remembering this)

tl;dr: They took the safe bet with an animated version of Godzilla to avoid paying more shitty licensing fees.
