Reality would be preserving them while a cure was arranged.

Quarantining is a different story. Shooting people who decided to compromise it, champion stupidity at the cost of kids lives. Choking to death because watching movies for a few weeks was too hard for them. Shoot such scum easily and eagerly. Spend their lives approving of prison and can't take the smallest and easiest made taste of it.

I'd rather shoot everyone shooting the "zombies". There's no word for such people, they're always the kind to put summary terms on others.
Shoot. Protect the fucked over from them. Happy endings later and their ailment forgotten.
