An attempt to bring melee first person games like Condemned into the modern paradigm that somehow warps itself into a first person Arkham Batman game instead. There's a good game somewhere in there, but it's hard to find.

A procgen Daggerfall-like made by a single newlywed Brazilian with a much more relaxed combat. Muskets, flails, spells, talking about religion with naked brown barbarian women wielding battleaxes. Very interesting during the first hour it offers in the demo, but I don't know how much staying value will it have. Maybe a single playthrough will be cool.

Platonic ideal of a WEG. 25 minutes of the most dick-drying prose ever conceived by a man. May singlehandedly make you think "alright, maybe these insane people complaining about men writing about women have some good points". Came to this out of pity.

I liked both Idols (Rise a bit less, but Sins of New Wells was fun enough), but this one didn't click. The graphics are both so pixelated you just end up staring at the individual pixels and not animated enough to catch your attention. There may be a very interesting game out there (though the beginning is this "who bullied this girl?" bullshit and I liked Rise's filler parts, mind you) for someone, I just personally didn't enjoy it.

Hotline Miami but you're a mage defending yourself against a home invasion by summoning 12 gauge. Sincerely inspired by 2000s flash games and is actually good. I could see myself burning hours in this at the computer if I were 10.
Overall, it's just like any other Next Fest. Sometimes I think I may be just too jaded for vidya, but then you get Devil Spire or Mage Tower and then it's "alright, maybe not".
