False, basic economic necessities like UBC will never be adopted and that's the tip of the iceberg for AI to take over anything.
The current economic environment doesn't allow it in general either, AI does have a place in certain work branches like some parts of medical research, but it will never be the utopia/distopia that techbros/wannabe nostradamus want you to believe.

It's already happening and has been a thing for years, before AI even started to get a foothold really, AI is certainly making this worse due to again, the techbro utopia talk, but it's not the main concern when it comes to this specific issue, nor ar artists the only case of displacement.
AI is a symptom, or rather one facet of a deeper issue at an executive level, what corpos want AI for is making the line go up by cutting down human resources even more, this is true for artists as it's true for people who work in call centers and tons of other jobs.

Worse still, the sociopolitical implications of this are what corpos are desperately trying to distract people from, this isn't your Roddenberry type idea of fairy tale sci-fi AI where everyone is happy because they can pursue and be rewarded for pursuing their own passions and use that to contribute to society, it's a wholly dehumanizing approach where humans are just an expendable cog in a machine owned by a select few who do not care about anything but making a line go up.

Your only consolation is that their idea of all encompassing AI is not sustainable and will burst in a couple of years, but they will cook something else after that anyway.
It's just "THE CLOUD" yet again, remember when they were all saying that by now we'd be all streaming games six or seven years ago?
