I doubt Rockstar will dare to do that out of fear of giving the impression that only Johnny "deserved" to die. For the sake of balance, Luis has to die too.

Which more often than not can be a devil in disguise. If Johnny's demise was drugs and poverty, the Luis' demise could be excess and luxury. I see Luis enjoying life as a "latin lover" way past his prime who's getting old and clumsy.

Luis could be dating an older woman like for example Jason's mom and get killed by her husband or even Jason himself. Not only this would be a fitting fate for Luis but also a polar opposite to Johnny's death. Johnny was too much of a simp for Alice and she dragged him down to hell. Luis was a womanizer and that eventually also has negative consequences. Only Niko represents a proper balance in life which is why he deserves to survive.
