A holdover from the 3DS that was delayed and ported to Switch due to COVID hampering development, it was very obviously meant to be a twilight years title given it primarily features SWSH Pokemon, right before Pokemon fulltime committed to Switch/Mobile.

A game that only released on Switch because they didn't think the 3DS would be suited for the job visually, and the WiiU was a catastrophic flop that meant sales would've been absolute shit. They'd been trying to make a new Snap for ages, and the Switch just so happened to be the right time for it.
Now that those two games are out of the way, all we have left are the mainline titles and freemium mobile games, with no sign of dedicated Switch or Switch 2-only spinoffs in sight.
