>vehicles are fun as fuck and seamless
>just to reiterate, even in 2001 this isn't the most detailed or photorealistic game world most of us have played. But by God, its probably the most consistent. It invites exploration, it charms you into suspending your disbelief. The visual and sound design reinforces this. Pretty soon you're living in a solid brushed gunmetal sci-fi world of hills and streams and caves and vistas and tunnels and explosions
>I take a break from playing and go up to my bedroom. It's dark. My first instinct is to press the White button to turn on flashlight. I remind myself real life doesn't work like that and use the switch on the wall instead

I could write paragraphs about the multiplayer. Hell, I could write paragraphs about one map and ond game type, Big Team Battle on Blood Gulch. You had to be there.

Despite everything I played and genuinely enjoyed MOST of the game.
