lemme check my old BASSMIDI setup. yes i know theres new MIDI plugins but this one just werkz and is really low RAM usuage unless i load up a meme 1 GB soundfont!

the drums and Chorium soundfonts are important, because ascoustic drums are just nicer.Chorium was tested with various MIDI and games, some sound effects and instruments can't be found in the Roland MT32 sampled soundfont. Chorium is pretty low size and covers all instruments/effects.

basically picked the smaller sized soundfonts to avoid any possible lag in DOSBox. AWE rom is sampled from a better Sound Blaster card called Sound Blaster AWE32 or something but AFAIK it still sounds like SB 16 bit and Adlib.
