I think you're the one who does not know what brevity means.
I'm not talking about whatever the fuck you think I'm talking about. ALTTP is quick, speedy little-to-no filler dash between all the dungeons. Story sequences are short, sidequests are short, running through each individual dungeon takes little time. The pacing of the entire game is very quick.
The GB games have more item swapping, more story bits, more mini games, longer puzzles and are just all slower as a result. They're slower games, which is fine, but I like alttp's pacing more.
