alternatively, you can just set up a samba share and use opl instead.
or, if you want to make it internal, grab a nanopi core instead.
you'll need to solder the ethernet port, but it has an 8gb emmc, so you can install dietpi there and use the micro sd slot to store the games.
i've only have a nanopi neo working with a 2gb micro sd, so don't know the specifics about how to set up the nanopi core. but it shouldn't be that hard.
