Not at all. I literally mentioned the human egregore as the culprit behind these common "experiences" that people attribute to God. An egregore is formed by the collective beliefs of many people. The human egregore has its own characteristics. It likes to see things go according to expectations, for example. It's very much like a spirit, but it's not a true conscious intelligence, it's just a complex system.

Another possibility is malevolent or benevolent, but non omnipotent, spirits intervening in our lives. I'm not a fan of this idea either, because of my understanding of my own unusual experiences, which could be easily explained rationally or through occult knowledge of magick, egregores, etc with no need of spirits to explain any of it.
But certainly, if you believe in the "God can directly intervene and communicate with me" idea, you should be open to this idea as well?

I wouldn't mind the God idea if it wasn't for the fact that he's supposed to be omnipotent, all-knowing and completely benevolent. That makes a lot of the stuff people call God's will seem really silly and uncharacteristic of such a being.

Furthermore, it's not just that it seems silly on a subjective level. It's also that it can be explained by other models much more adequately and sensibly. You're not supposed to jump to absurd explanations just because it's easy or makes you feel good, like God setting fire to LA because he's angry about Israelis. I'll admit not everything can be rationally explained, but that's where things like magick, spirits, LoA and whatnot come in. And maybe some yet-unknown science?
