okay, you are very confused. these two have nothing to do with eachother. you are thinking of the Many Worlds interpretation (MWI) of quantum mechanics. not string theory.
String theory was, at one point, an extremely promising attempt to find the new "smallest" thing. Long ago, we thought in terms of forms: water, earth, air, fire. Then we learned about cells, so everything was cells. then we learned about chemicals, and everything was just chemicals. next came atoms, so everything was elements. then we found out the nucleus was made of protons and neutrons, but it got confusing, because there's also the electron, and we didn't know what this shit called light was all about, and before we could really explain all that we discovered that protons and neutrons were made of quarks, and that electricity, magnetism, and gravity were all completely different things from those.
This is currently where the soience stands. We used this understand to create solid state devices. These computers we created made us think that everything has to be computers now, instead of fire and water or aether or chemicals or atoms. Fucking midwits actually think we're in a simulation...
So, string theory comes along and says what if instead of these quarks and electrons and photons being the fundamental unit of reality, instead we had strings, and how they vibrate dictates what they are?
The problem is, if you do the math with this idea, you need a lot more dimensions than we have. We only have four, you see, x y z and time.
String theory is a failure. It was a great idea, but it just isn't true. The string theorists have to CONSTANTLY change everything about their theories, because they never make any predictions that come true. In fact, they've given up: they no longer make scientific predictions! They just wait for REAL soiboys to test other shit, and then update their bullshit to match.
Lastly, the parallel worlds shit is retarded.
